Job summary

Tyson Foods is seeking a Refrigeration Technician to operate and maintain ammonia refrigeration and wastewater systems. This role requires attention to safety, accurate documentation, and proactive equipment monitoring.

You will work rotating 12-hour shifts (2-2-3) with an emphasis on preventive maintenance, equipment troubleshooting, and proper hand tool use in a demanding plant environment. Overtime may be required.

Qualifications

• Prefer minimum of 2 years’ experience in ammonia refrigeration.
• Formal training program completion or certification can be used in place of experience requirement.
• Training in electrical principals and troubleshooting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Install and set up equipment as needed.
• Monitor and adjust refrigeration systems and related equipment.
• Perform preventative maintenance checks and inspections with required documentation.
• Provide pass-down to following shift Technician.
• Assist experienced Technicians in troubleshooting and repairs.
• Complete shift log and other required paperwork.
• Assist with waste-water duties and related tasks.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
