Job summary

Tyson Foods is seeking a Refrigeration Maintenance B Shift Technician in Tecumseh, NE. The role focuses on running ammonia refrigeration and waste water systems, performing maintenance and repairs with supervision, and monitoring the ammonia system per Process Safety Management standards.

Responsibilities include equipment installation, system adjustments, preventative checks, shift handovers, and supporting other department duties.

Qualifications

• Understanding of Ammonia Refrigeration systems.
• Proficient computer skills.
• Ability to use hand tools and trades type tools.
• Electrical experience required.
• Able to operate safely around moving machinery.

Responsibilities

• Installation and set-up of equipment as needed.
• Monitor and adjust refrigeration systems and related equipment.
• Perform preventative maintenance checks and inspections with documentation.
• Provide pass-down to following shift Technician.
• Assist experienced Technicians in troubleshooting and repairs.
• Complete shift log book and paperwork.
• Assist with waste-water duties as needed.
• Other duties as assigned.
