Job summary

Tyson Foods is seeking a Refrigeration Maintenance Technician for 1st Shift. The role involves operating and maintaining the ammonia refrigeration system and performing predictive maintenance to ensure facility reliability.

The ideal candidate has ammonia refrigeration experience, basic electrical troubleshooting skills, and a willingness to work overtime and weekends while supporting food safety and GMP standards.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 months of mechanic work experience or completion of industrial maintenance training.
• Experience with ammonia systems and HVAC is preferred.
• Ability to troubleshoot electrical circuits and perform maintenance tasks.

Responsibilities

• Perform electrical and mechanical preventive and predictive maintenance as tasked.
• Maintain daily logs, report unsafe conditions, and keep equipment in good working order.
• Support plant operations to maximize efficiency and product quality.
• Maintain mechanical inventory and assist with safety and GMP programs.
• Work overtime and weekends as required.
