Job summary

Tyson Foods is seeking Maintenance and Refrigeration Technicians to maintain ammonia refrigeration and related systems, ensuring safe and efficient plant operations. The role involves robust preventive maintenance, repairs, and day-to-day troubleshooting across mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic equipment.

Candidates should have industrial maintenance experience or relevant training and be prepared for 3rd shift operations.

Qualifications

• 1 year of industrial maintenance education preferred (I.E. possess industrial maintenance diploma or currently enrolled in technical school) when no experience; RETA Operator certification is preferred
• 3+ years of industrial ammonia refrigeration experience or equivalent experience required
• Basic computer skills to log information, process daily work orders and complete documentation; ability to use CMMS

Responsibilities

• Provide maintenance support to ammonia refrigeration systems, HCFC systems, hot water, compressed air, and steam systems
• Perform preventative maintenance and refrigerant repairs; emergency mechanical or electrical repairs as needed
• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, pump, pressure, and hydraulic equipment
• Understand boiler theory and RETA/IIAR schematics; participate on the Emergency Response Team
