Job summary

Tyson Foods is seeking a Refrigeration Technician to operate and maintain ammonia refrigeration and wastewater systems with minimal supervision. You will perform preventive maintenance, monitor systems, and assist with repairs while documenting activities for safety and compliance.

The role requires experience in ammonia refrigeration, proficiency with tools, and the ability to work rotating 12-hour shifts on the B Shift (3:30 pm – 4:00 am or until completion).

Qualifications

• Experience with ammonia refrigeration systems is preferred.
• Proficient with basic computer operations and recordkeeping.
• Ability to use hand and trades-type tools.
• Strong mechanical background and problem-solving abilities.
• Able to work safely around moving machinery and changing temperatures.

Responsibilities

• Install and set up equipment as needed.
• Monitor and adjust refrigeration systems and related equipment.
• Perform preventative maintenance and inspections with proper documentation.
• Provide pass-down to the following shift technician.
• Assist experienced technicians in troubleshooting and repairs.
• Complete shift log book and paperwork.
• Assist with waste-water duties as needed.
• Other duties as assigned.
