Job summary

Vogrinc Search Group seeks an Ammonia Refrigeration/Boiler Technician in Sioux Falls, SD. This full-time, hourly position requires a 12-hour rotating night shift (2-2-3).

You will perform maintenance on ammonia refrigeration and boiler systems, lead safety practices, and support operations with timely repairs and inspections. Required are a high school diploma or GED with 1+ years in industrial maintenance or 4 years direct experience, plus RETA certification or progress toward it.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED and 1+ years of related experience or 4 years’ direct experience in industrial mechanical maintenance or food manufacturing environment.
• Industrial maintenance experience should include knowledge in three or more of the listed areas above.
• Willingness to work a night shift rotating 2-2-3 twelve hour schedule.
• RETA Certification preferred or obtainable.

Responsibilities

• Perform refrigeration/boiler maintenance duties and assist other maintenance personnel on shift.
• Demonstrate strong safety leadership and follow safe work practices.
• Plan and conduct equipment repairs as part of a team.
• Conduct routine audits and equipment inspections.
• Demonstrate troubleshooting abilities.
• Maintain open communication with operations.
• Respond to unplanned/emergency work requests promptly.
• Follow food safety and good manufacturing practices.
• Work independently when required.
