Job summary

Essenti Talent is seeking an Ammonia Refrigeration/Boiler Technician in Sioux Falls, SD. The role performs maintenance on refrigeration and boiler equipment and supports other shift personnel on a 12-hour rotating schedule.

You must have or be able to attain RETA certification, a high school diploma or GED, and 1+ year of related industrial maintenance experience. Willingness to work night shifts and follow safety and food safety practices is essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; 1+ years of related experience or 4 years direct experience in industrial maintenance or food manufacturing.
• Industrial maintenance knowledge includes RETA Certification, ammonia refrigeration, engine & boiler systems, electricity & motor controls, controls & instrumentation, PLC/software & hardware, pneumatics & hydraulics, mechanical systems, predictive/predictive maintenance, maintenance planning, site utilities, system analysis & troubleshooting, pipefitting & welding, machining, metal fabrication.
• Basic computer skills and the ability to work independently are required.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance on refrigeration/boiler equipment and assist on shift.
• Plan and conduct equipment repairs as part of a team.
• Conduct routine audits and equipment inspections.
• Troubleshoot refrigeration/boiler systems.
• Maintain open communication with operations.
• Respond to unplanned/emergency work requests.
• Follow food safety and good manufacturing practices.
• Be highly motivated and able to work independently.
