Job summary

Coinbase is seeking a Compliance Associate on the AML/CTF team to help execute the program for Coinbase Custody International, CBIE Trust, and Coinbase Bermuda. You will support day-to-day operations, including suspicious activity reporting, customer due diligence, and regulatory correspondence, strengthening Coinbase's financial crimes posture.

The role requires 2+ years in AML/CTF compliance, familiarity with relevant acts and directives, and a collaborative approach with internal teams.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of AML/CTF compliance experience.
• Knowledge of AML/CTF laws including UK/Ireland/Bermuda provisions and EU directives.
• Experience with CDD/EDD reviews, transaction monitoring, and STR filings.
• Ability to manage high-volume reviews with strict regulatory deadlines.
• Responsible use of AI with human oversight in compliance workflows.

Responsibilities

• Support execution of Coinbase's AML/CTF program including monitoring, alert review, and escalation of suspicious activity.
• Prepare and file STRs and other regulatory filings for assigned entities.
• Conduct CDD/EDD reviews and escalate complex/high-risk cases.
• Maintain accurate compliance records across all entities.
• Monitor regulatory developments in Ireland and Bermuda and update policies accordingly.
• Collaborate with CX, Legal, and Operations to respond to regulatory inquiries.
