Job summary

southeastern Electric Cooperative in Lennox, SD is seeking a Meter Coordinator to lead advanced meter installation, calibration, and testing of metering equipment, and to manage data from the MDMS.

You will coordinate with line staff, analyze system performance, ensure compliance with safety standards, and train team members on AMI procedures. Requires Associate degree and AMI certifications; valid SD license; strong problem solving and computer skills.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school or three years related experience/training.
• Advanced Metering Certification and AMI Metering Certification required.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions; write routine reports; speak before groups.
• Valid South Dakota driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Install or oversee installation of single- and three-phase meters and AMI components.
• Evaluate AMI system software daily; maintain AMI and MDMS databases.
• Coordinate meter installation with Line Superintendents/Foremen.
• Assist in monthly meter disconnects and reconnects.
• Ensure meters are properly programmed, wired and operating correctly.
• Oversee testing, repair and maintenance of metering equipment.
• Investigate consumer billing issues and resolve problems.
