Job summary

Southeastern Electric Cooperative in Lennox, SD seeks a Meter Coordinator to install, troubleshoot, and calibrate meters and AMI components. You will monitor metering software, perform data analysis in MDMS, and develop options for metering system design.

Requirements include an Associate degree, AMI/MDMS experience, and strong problem-solving. A valid SD driver's license and safe-work practices are expected. This role is based at the main office in Lennox.

Qualifications

Associate degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Proficiency in AMI components programming and data analysis; MDMS experience preferred.
Strong computer skills in MS Office and utilities billing software.

Responsibilities

Install or oversee installation of single- and three-phase meters, CTs, and AMI components.
Daily evaluation of AMI software, generate reports, maintain AMI and MDMS databases.
Coordinate meter installation needs with Line Superintendents/Foremen.
Assist in monthly meter disconnects and reconnects as needed.
Ensure meters are properly programmed, wired and operating accurately.
Oversee testing, repair and maintenance of metering equipment.
Investigate consumer concerns and resolve billing issues.
Adhere to safety laws and company procedures; promote safety and customer service.
