National Council on Aging, Inc. is seeking a Program Associate for AmeriCorps Workforce Development to support planning, coordination, and execution of workforce initiatives in Wheeling, WV.

You’ll collaborate with staff, community partners, training providers, and volunteers to advance employment readiness for older adults. The role emphasizes participant services, relationship-building with employers and organizations, and ensuring compliant program operations across the AmeriCorps Seniors SDP

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 1-3 years of relevant experience in program coordination or similar roles.
• Demonstrated ability to coordinate projects, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines.
• Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Experience with nonprofit or grant-funded programs is preferred.
• Ability and willingness to travel regularly within the service area.

Responsabilidades

• Coordinate day-to-day implementation of the SDP to support participant success and grant objectives.
• Serve as the case manager for enrolled AmeriCorps Seniors volunteers and provide a path to program completion.
• Recruit volunteers and match them to appropriate stations; ensure data collection and entry.
• Provide digital literacy support and enroll volunteers in training with relevant testing.
• Identify employment opportunities and support volunteers' transition to permanent roles.
• Develop recruitment strategies to maintain enrollment levels and pipeline of volunteers.
• Maintain relationships with partner organizations and coordinate training sites and opportunities.
• Travel to partner sites for meetings, events, and program activities.
• Complete required NSCHC and other AmeriCorps/NCOA trainings and responsibilities.
