Job summary

NCOA in Wheeling, WV is seeking a Program Associate, AmeriCorps Workforce Development, to support planning, coordination, and implementation of workforce development initiatives within the Center for Economic Well-Being (CEW).

This role focuses on coordinating participant services, building partnerships with employers and community organizations, and guiding adults 55+ through training, mentoring, and employment readiness activities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to coordinate projects, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate day-to-day implementation of the SDP to support participant success and grant objectives.
• Serve as a case manager for AmeriCorps Seniors volunteers, recruiting and matching volunteers to stations.
• Maintain data collection and entry, conduct weekly check-ins, and support training and certification testing as needed.
• Identify job opportunities for volunteers and support transitions to permanent employment.
• Maintain confidentiality and comply with AmeriCorps and NCOA program standards.
