Job summary

Cohere is seeking a Senior Director of Solutions Architecture for the Americas to lead the US and Canada commercial Solutions Architecture function. You will build and scale a distributed technical team, define the operating rhythm, and own the technical win in the region.

You will partner with Sales, Product and Engineering to translate customer needs into scalable enterprise AI solutions and to shape the roadmap for cloud, hybrid and on‑prem deployments.

Qualifications

• 15+ years in Solutions Architecture, Solutions Engineering, Technical Consulting or Enterprise Architecture.
• 7+ years leading customer-facing technical teams with a track record of developing people.
• Executive presence with credibility in front of CEOs and C-suite executives.
• Hands-on technical credibility; comfortable with models, agents and architectural design.
• Ability to partner with sales, product and engineering to drive technical value.
• Experience designing enterprise AI, cloud or data platform solutions.
• Proven ability to influence cross-functional stakeholders and senior leadership.

Responsibilities

• Lead and scale the Americas Solutions Architecture organization across the US and Canada.
• Own the technical win for the region and be accountable for strategic pursuits.
• Own the US market positioning, value proof, and enterprise sales engagement.
• Expand the region’s pipeline and engage early in key opportunities.
• Partner with Sales to own regional numbers and drive delivery excellence.
• Set vision, strategy, and operating model for the Americas function.
• Develop repeatable solution assets, industry playbooks and execution frameworks.
• Architect enterprise AI solutions across cloud, hybrid, and on‑prem environments.
• Collaborate with Product and Engineering to shape platform roadmap.
• Attract, mentor and retain senior technical talent.
