Job summary

Smiths Detection is seeking an Americas Regional EHS Manager to lead environmental, health, and safety compliance across the region. The role oversees policy development, incident investigations, training programs, and regulatory liaison to ensure adherence to federal, state, and local requirements.

Responsibilities include managing a small HSE& R team, driving continuous improvement, reporting metrics, and coordinating audits.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of related HSE experience in manufacturing or equivalent.
• 5+ years of supervisory/management experience.
• Experience with ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 management systems or equivalents.
• Facilities management experience preferred.
• Knowledge of security regulations in a global environment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a 3–5 person HSE& R team across the Americas.
• Provide leadership on HSE& R matters and champion a safety culture.
• Advise management on HSE and Radiation compliance requirements and implement systems.
• Manage regional KPIs and drive continuous improvements in HSE performance.
• Ensure timely reporting of HSE& R data and incidents.
• Develop and deliver HSE& R training and education across sites and field teams.
• Coordinate external audits for ISO 14001 & ISO 45001.
