Job summary

Ashtabula Regional Medical Center is seeking a Clinical Surgery and Procedure Scheduler to coordinate and schedule all surgical procedures within the scheduling pod. Under supervision, you will manage scheduling, pre-admission testing, patient communications, and documentation in the EHR to support efficient surgical operations.

This office-based clinical role requires a high school diploma, Ohio LPN licensure, and BLS certification.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Current LPN licensure in the State of Ohio is required.
• Current BLS Certification is required.
• Familiarity with surgical procedures, scheduling parameters, and pre/post operative care is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Schedule surgical procedures and related clinical appointments with physicians and nursing staff.
• Coordinate pre-admission testing and ensure all documentation is completed prior to procedures.
• Verify patient information, insurance coverage, and pre-operative requirements prior to scheduling.
• Maintain accurate scheduling records in the EHR system and communicate with patients about dates and instructions.
• Collaborate with clinical staff to obtain necessary clearances and documentation.
• Manage scheduling conflicts, cancellations, and rescheduling needs.
