Job summary

You will work under supervision to ensure timely and accurate scheduling, effective communication with clinical teams, and smooth workflow to support patient care and operations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Current LPN licensure in Ohio required.
• Current BLS certification required.
• Familiarity with surgical procedures and terminology.
• Experience with EHR and scheduling software.
• Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to coordinate multiple surgical schedules in a fast-paced setting.

Responsibilities

• Schedule surgical procedures and clinical appointments with physicians and nursing staff.
• Schedule pre-admission testing and ensure documentation is complete.
• Verify patient information, insurance, and pre-operative requirements.
• Maintain accurate scheduling records in the EHR system.
• Communicate with patients about dates, prep instructions, and follow-ups.
• Ensure necessary clearances are obtained prior to procedures.
• Assist in workflow efficiency and quality improvement in the scheduling pod.
• Provide clerical support including data entry and document management.
• Support HIPAA compliance and hospital policies.
