Job Description

We’re searching for an Ambulatory Services Representative II at our Outpatient Orthopedics/Sports Medicine clinic, located at The West Campus. This role involves providing excellent customer service as the first contact for patients, providers, and staff accessing virtual and/or non-virtual ambulatory clinics. You may also orient patients to the virtual visit process to ensure successful visits.

All successful candidates will be required to undergo respiratory fit testing to maintain a safe and healthy workplace.

Qualifications:

• H.S. Diploma or GED required
• At least 2 years' experience in customer service or clerical/medical office/business experience, preferably in healthcare

Job Duties & Responsibilities:

• Check-in/welcome desk, registration, managing patient appointments
• Perform patient registration procedures
• Orient patients to virtual visit technology if applicable
• Ensure all patient forms are completed
• Communicate with patients, staff, and providers regarding appointments and delays
• Notify staff of appointment changes or discrepancies
• Refer patients with funding issues to financial counselors
• Update appointment statuses and manage referrals
• Assist licensed staff with inpatient admission processes as needed
• Perform closing procedures such as reconciling payments and balancing accounts
• Handle insurance authorizations, cash collections, billing, and reconciliation
• Provide excellent customer service and communication
• Manage flow and room assignments
