Orlando Health Ambulatory - Outpatient Rehab in Tampa, FL is seeking an Ancillary Scheduling, Registration, Patient Charge Specialist to manage pre-registration, scheduling and patient financial interactions. The role supports multiple departments and liaises with payers, providers and patients to ensure smooth access and accurate billing.

Responsibilities include accurate data collection, appointment coordination, benefit verification, and patient education on costs.

Qualifications

• Must demonstrate reading, verbal and written communication, mathematical and reasoning skills.
• Two years’ experience in financial, business office, or customer service environment.
• Computer knowledge required.

Responsibilities

• Pre-registration, registration and scheduling of patient appointments.
• Manage additions and cancellations of patient appointments.
• Gather and input patient/demographic and financial information into hospital systems.
• Verify benefits and obtain authorizations.
• Communicate schedule changes to staff.
• Explain insurance benefits, co-pays, deductibles, and self-pay amounts.
• Check in and check out patients.
• Liaise with clinical staff to ensure patient management.
