Job summary

AdventHealth in Orlando, FL seeks an Eligibility and Patient Access Specialist who reviews schedules, verifies benefits, and secures authorizations to prevent denials, while guiding patients through the registration process.

You will collaborate with clinical teams, enter accurate data, explain charges and payment options, and support timely appointments and billing workflows in a fast-paced hospital setting.

Qualifications

• High School Grad or Equiv [Preferred]
• 1+ year experience with computers and EMR software
• Basic knowledge of revenue cycle and coding
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• BLS preferred

Responsibilities

• Reviews schedules and performs eligibility and benefits verification
• Ensures authorizations and pre-certifications are correct to avoid denials
• Enters accurate data and documents collection attempts
• Collaborates with clinical teams and physician offices for timely submissions
• Registers patients and explains insurance coverage, charges and payments
