Job summary

Orlando Health Ambulatory - Outpatient Rehab is seeking a dedicated Ancillary Scheduling, Registration, Patient Charge Specialist who will provide scheduling, registration and patient charge services for ancillary departments. This role supports pre-registration, check-in/out, and payer communications.

The position is full-time, Monday–Friday, 8am–5pm, with local practice address at 701 Platinum Pt Lake Mary, FL.

Qualifications

• Two (2) years’ experience in financial, business office, or customer service environment required.

Responsibilities

• Pre-register, register and schedule patient appointments.
• Manage additions and cancellations of appointments.
• Input patient/guarantor demographic and financial information into hospital systems.
• Contact payers to verify benefits and obtain authorizations.
• Explain insurance benefits, co-pays and self-pay portions to patients.
• Check in and check out patients and coordinate with clinical staff.
• Educate and assist patients about procedures, timing and location.
