UT Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas, TX is seeking a registered nurse to provide nursing services in care and treatment of patients under supervision of a physician, APP, or nursing leadership.

The role requires ADN, RN licensure, and BLS upon hire; BSN and 1 year of clinical experience are preferred. Responsibilities include direct patient care, education, and collaboration with the health care team.

Qualifications

  • Graduate of an approved/accredited nursing program with an ADN.
  • Licensure as Registered Nurse by the Texas Board of Nurse Examiners.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required upon hire.
  • Preferred: BSN and 1 year of clinical experience.

Responsabilités

  • Delivers nursing interventions to assigned patients per the medical plan of care.
  • Schedules patients’ appointments, tests, and procedures and reinforces physician instructions.
  • Provides patient education and documents patient responses in the medical record.
  • Administers medications as prescribed by the physician.
  • Maintains patient safety and ensures proper functioning of equipment.
  • Attends and participates in meetings related to clinical activities.
