UT Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas, TX seeks a registered nurse to provide direct patient care under supervision of physicians and nursing leadership. The role emphasizes delivering nursing interventions, patient education, and coordination of tests and procedures within the electronic medical record system.

Required ADN degree with Texas RN licensure; bachelor's degree preferred and 1 year of clinical experience may be required for some specialties.

Competenze

  • Graduate of an approved/accredited nursing program with an ADN.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred.
  • RN Licensure by Texas Board of Nursing required upon hire.

Mansioni

  • Delivers nursing interventions to assigned patients according to the medical plan of care.
  • Schedules patient appointments, tests, and procedures and reinforces physician instructions.
  • Provides patient education and documents patient responses in the medical record.
  • Triages patient phone inquiries per protocol and documents actions in records.
  • Supervises and delegates tasks to licensed vocational nurses and other staff.
  • Maintains proficiency in electronic medical record documentation.
  • Assists physicians during exams and procedures and prepares equipment.
