Job summary

Qualifications

• Temporary RN permit as required by state board; must obtain permanent license within 90 days of graduation.
• Temporary permits valid only within issuing state.
• Basic Life Support certification within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care using the nursing process within scope of practice.
• Perform preliminary patient assessments to guide follow-up with the care team.
• Evaluate unstable or complex patient situations and intervene appropriately.
• Document and communicate patient status; participate in performance improvement activities.
• Educate patients and families; assist in orientation of new staff.
