Job summary

UHC United Hospital Center seeks a Registered Nurse to deliver ambulatory nursing care using the nursing process and independent judgment. The role requires assessment of patient data and timely intervention.

Qualifications

• Current RN license issued by the state where services will be provided or multi-state license via eNLC.
• Must possess current temporary RN permit as required by the state board.
• Obtain Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct patient care within the ambulatory setting based on the nursing process and scope of practice.
• Performs preliminary assessment of patients to facilitate appropriate follow-up with the health care team.
• Evaluates unstable or complex patient care situations and initiates appropriate interventions.
• Uses independent nursing judgment for care provided by self and by health care providers to whom care is delegated.
• Demonstrates teaching for patients and families and documents patient education.
