Responsibilities

• Provide direct ambulatory patient care using the nursing process.
• Perform initial assessment and chart review for appropriate follow-up.
• Evaluate complex patient situations and intervene appropriately.
• Apply clinical judgment and collaborate with the health care team.
• Educate patients and families and document learning needs.
• Assist in orientation and mentoring of new staff.
