Job summary

Atlantic Health System is seeking a Registered Nurse to support ambulatory care operations. You will apply the nursing process to assess and plan patient care, coordinate care across the health care continuum, and provide teaching to patients and families.

You will document in EPIC Ambulatory, triage calls, and collaborate with clinicians to ensure timely, safe, and high-quality care. A NJ RN license and strong communication skills are essential for success in this role.

Qualifications

• RN license required in NJ.
• Experience in ambulatory nursing preferred.
• Knowledge of electronic medical records systems (EPIC) preferred.
• Strong communication and patient education skills.

Responsibilities

• Utilizes nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care.
• Coordinate and complete patient assessment and re-assessment to improve quality outcomes.
• Provide patient/family teaching and ensure privacy per HIPAA guidelines.
• Maintain a courteous, timely, and respectful communication with patients and families.
• Document in the EMR and collaborate with clinicians and team members.
• Triages phone calls to determine urgency and schedule appointments accordingly.
• Participate in regular team huddles and support problem resolution.
• Adhere to safety and patient care standards and PRIDE values.
