Job summary

Atlantic Health System is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for ambulatory practice. You will assess and plan patient care, educate patients and families, and document in Epic while maintaining confidentiality.

Responsibilities include triaging calls, coordinating with clinicians, and supporting PRIDE values in a collaborative, high-quality care environment. Strong communication and documentation skills are essential.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of clinical ambulatory nursing experience.
• Experience maintaining patient confidentiality and HIPAA compliance.
• Knowledge of electronic medical records systems (Epic).

Responsibilities

• Uses the nursing process to assess patients and plan care.
• Coordinates and completes patient assessments and re-assessments.
• Educates patients and families and documents teaching.
• Responds to patients and families courteously and promptly.
• Maintains patient privacy and confidentiality.
• Supports safety and quality initiatives per PRIDE values.
• Collaborates with healthcare team and documents in Epic.
• Manages in-basket and triages patient phone calls and messages.
• Disseminates labs appropriately and responds to patient messages with clinician collaboration.
• Triages calls to assess urgency and schedule appointments.
• Maintains comprehensive medical record documentation.
