Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business Administration, HIM or related field or equivalent experience.
• 2-4 years of relevant experience in healthcare revenue cycle and patient accounting.
• Excellent written and verbal communications skills and customer service experience.
• Familiarity with insurance terminology, claims processing, and EHR/practice management systems.

Responsibilities

• Facilitates insurance registration and patient check-in.
• Explains billing processes to patients and collects co-payments.
• Posts payments and assists with accounts receivable and collections.
• Verifies active insurance information and assists with eligibility and benefit determination.
