Job summary

Presbyterian Medical Group (PMG) seeks a transformational ambulatory healthcare leader to serve as its next Director of Practice Operations. This highly visible role is responsible for operational, financial, service, and people performance across physician and advanced practice provider clinics.

The Director will lead ambulatory strategies to improve access, provider productivity, patient experience, workforce engagement, quality outcomes, and financial performance, partnering with physicians

Qualifications

  • 7-10 years of progressive healthcare leadership experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years leading ambulatory, physician practice, medical group, or outpatient operations.
  • Demonstrated experience managing multiple practices, service lines, or operational departments.
  • Experience leading operational, financial, workforce, and patient experience improvement initiatives.
  • Strong understanding of ambulatory operations, access management, and provider productivity.

Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership and oversight for assigned ambulatory practices and service lines.
  • Establish operational strategies aligned with priorities and growth objectives.
  • Drive performance across access, productivity, patient throughput, and service levels.
  • Develop action plans to improve efficiency, capacity, and patient outcomes.
  • Create accountability structures for performance excellence across sites.
  • Serve as a strategic business partner to physicians and medical leadership.
  • Lead annual operating plans and budgets and monitor financial performance.
  • Improve patient access, scheduling efficiency, and capacity management.
  • Ensure compliance with policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Build high-performing teams and promote physician-friendly culture.
