Job summary

Harbor Medical Associates, Inc. seeks an experienced Clinical Laboratory Manager to lead two ambulatory laboratory sites in Weymouth/South Weymouth. You will drive operational excellence, coach a small team, and coordinate with system leadership to standardize processes and improve access to diagnostic services.

You will oversee staffing, quality, and onboarding of new tests, with a focus on safety and timely patient care in a fast-paced outpatient setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Medical Laboratory Science or related field required.
• ASCP MLS/MT certification required.
• Minimum 5 years of clinical laboratory generalist experience.
• Minimum 3 years of leadership or supervisory experience in a CLIA-regulated laboratory.
• Strong background in clinical chemistry and hematology.
• Experience with LIS systems and Beaker preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support two ambulatory laboratory sites, ensuring smooth daily operations and strong team performance.
• Build, coach, and develop a high-performing laboratory team with clear expectations and accountability.
• Serve as primary operational leader for staffing, workflow, and service delivery across both sites.
• Partner with system leadership to align priorities and standardize processes to improve access and turnaround times.
• Oversee quality and compliance activities including QC, temperature logs, and documentation.
• Ensure readiness for CLIA/CAP environments with a culture of quality and safety.
• Drive implementation, validation, and onboarding of new tests, instruments, and workflows.
• Lead continuous improvement to enhance efficiency, staff experience, and patient service.
