Job summary

Mass General Brigham is seeking an experienced Clinical Laboratory Manager to lead operations at two outpatient sites in Weymouth. You will guide a team of about 11 staff, drive process improvements, and partner with system leadership to maintain high-quality diagnostic services.

The role emphasizes leadership, operational excellence, and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams to ensure timely patient care across ambulatory diagnostics.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Medical Laboratory Science or related field required.
• ASCP MLS/MT certification required.
• Minimum 5 years of clinical laboratory generalist experience; minimum 3 years of leadership/supervisory experience in CLIA-regulated lab.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day operations for two ambulatory laboratory sites, ensuring smooth, efficient workflows and strong team performance.
• Coach and develop a high-performing laboratory staff with clear expectations and accountability.
• Serve as primary operational leader for staffing, scheduling, and service delivery across both sites.
• Partner with system laboratory leadership and clinical teams to standardize processes and improve access and turnaround times.
• Oversee quality and compliance activities, including QC reviews, temperature logs, and regulatory documentation; ensure CLIA/CAP readiness.
