Job summary

Saint Francis Hospital and Medical Center is seeking a part-time Registered Nurse for the Ambulatory Surgery PACU. You will provide post-operative care for patients recovering from outpatient procedures in a high-acuity environment, with Phase 1 and 2 recovery management and collaboration with anesthesia and surgical teams.

The role requires an Associate’s degree in Nursing and a Connecticut RN license, with 1+ year PACU experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited nursing program with an Associate’s degree in Nursing is required.
• Valid RN license in Connecticut.
• The ideal candidate will have one or more years of PACU experience supporting inpatient surgical recovery.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-acuity care for patients recovering from outpatient surgical procedures.
• Manage Phase 1 and 2 recovery, ensuring safe emergence from anesthesia, stabilization, and readiness for discharge or transfer.
• Collaborate with anesthesiologists, surgeons, and care teams to deliver advanced interventions and uphold perioperative standards.
