Job summary

Saint Francis Hospital and Medical Center in Connecticut seeks an experienced Registered Nurse for the Pre & PACU unit, specializing in orthopedic and spine procedures. You will provide comprehensive perioperative care, perform pre-op assessments, initiate IVs, and support anesthesia preparation.

The role requires an ADN, CT RN license, and 1+ year PACU experience; ICU-level expertise and relevant certifications are preferred. Evening, 12-hour shifts with 36 hours/week. Benefits included.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited nursing program with an Associate’s degree in Nursing is required.
• Valid RN license in Connecticut
• One or more years of inpatient PACU experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality pre-operative and post-anesthesia care for joint and spine surgeries.
• Conduct thorough pre-operative assessments and support anesthesia preparation.
• Monitor patients through Phase 1 and 2 recovery and ensure safe emergence from anesthesia and readiness for discharge or inpatient transfer.
