Saint Francis Hospital and Medical Center in Hartford, CT seeks an Ambulatory Surgery PACU RN to provide post-operative care for patients recovering from outpatient procedures in the Ambulatory and Main ORs.

The role requires 1+ year PACU experience, CT RN license, and an accredited nursing degree; shifts are 5:30am-9am to 9:00am start with 8-,10-,12-hour options, part-time 24 hours/week, Monday–Friday, no weekends or holidays. Compensation ranges $37.25-$61.75/hour with comprehensive benefits.

Minimum Qualifications

Required

• Graduation from an accredited nursing program with an Associate's degree in Nursing is required.
• Valid RN license in Connecticut
• The ideal candidate will have one or more years of PACU experience supporting inpatient surgical recovery

Preferred

• Candidates with ICU experience with 2+ years of experience may be considered if they demonstrate expertise in ICU-level ventilated patient care, critical drips (e.g., vasopressors, sedatives), and strong assessment skills. Note: Training is not available for candidates without this expertise
• BLS/CPR certification (AHA or ARC)
• ACLS and TNCC certification (support available post-hire)
• Proficiency in ASPAN standards and guidelines
  

Position Highlights and Benefits

• Part-Time - 24 hours/week - Day Shift
• Monday thru Friday, no weekend or holiday commitment.
• Variable Day shift rotations with ranging start times of 5:30 am, 6 am, 7 am, 8 am, or 9:00 am.
• Shifts range from 8, 10, and 12-hour shifts, based on unit needs

Compensation and Benefits

• Hourly Staff RN position; pay range: $37.25 - $61.75/hour
  • Pay is based on working RN experience only. Exempt positions under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) will be paid within the base salary equivalent of the stated hourly rates. The pay range may also vary within the stated range based on location.

• Unit-based specialty pay is available for experienced nurses with one or more years of RN experience
