Job summary

Advocate Health’s 70100 East Mequon Surgery Center in Wisconsin is seeking a dedicated Surgical Technologist. The role involves assisting with a variety of procedures, maintaining a sterile field, and supporting surgeons with equipment setup and patient care.

Position is full-time, day shift, with no weekends or call. BLS certification and completion of an accredited Surgical Technology program are required; GI experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited program in Surgical Technology.

Responsibilities

• Performs procedures and assists with complex surgical cases.
• Sets up and operates equipment per physician specifications.
• Precepts Surgical Technologists I.
• Maintains sterile field and prepares materials for procedures.
• Ensures environmental disinfection and OR safety.
• Notifies staff of equipment and supply problems.
• Assists in patient positioning and transport.
• Provides age-appropriate patient care.
