HCA Healthcare, Inc. is seeking an Operating Room Nurse for our ambulatory surgery center in Virginia. You will contribute your expertise in circulating or scrub roles to ensure safe and effective nursing care until transfer to recovery.

Responsibilities include preoperative assessment, patient and family education, IV therapy, site verification, time-out processes, and collaboration with a dynamic inter disciplinary team to deliver high-quality, evidence-based perioperative care.

Formación

• Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in an operating room setting.
• Active RN license as required by state of employment or appropriate compact licensure.
• BCLS Certification required at employment; online certification not acceptable.
• ACLS as required by facility.
• CNOR certification preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Evaluate patients prior to surgery.
• Provide patient and family education surrounding the procedure and peri-operative process.
• Assume responsibility for patient preparation, including intravenous therapy, preoperative medications, and surgical site verification.
• Participate in surgical site verification, including briefing, time out, debriefing, and universal protocols, according to hospital policy.
• Recognize and respond to patient emergencies.
• Deliver high-quality, patient-centered care while managing evidence-based practices and continuous improvement initiatives.
