Job summary

HCA Healthcare's Surgery Ventures unit is hiring an Operating Room Nurse for an ambulatory surgery center. You will contribute your expertise in circulating or scrub roles and ensure safe, efficient nursing care until patients transfer to recovery.

You will join an interdisciplinary team, evaluate patients pre-operatively, educate families, manage IV therapy and preoperative meds, and uphold universal protocols while delivering patient-centered care.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing.
• Active RN license as required by state of employment.
• BCLS certification required at employment.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients prior to surgery.
• Provide patient and family education about the procedure and peri-operative process.
• Assume responsibility for patient preparation including IV therapy and preoperative medications.
• Participate in surgical site verification per hospital policy.
• Deliver high-quality, patient-centered care using evidence-based practices.
