Job summary

HCA Healthcare is seeking an Operating Room Nurse for our ambulatory surgery center in North Austin. You will contribute as a circulating or scrub nurse, ensuring safe, effective care until patients are transferred to recovery.

Responsibilities include setting up instruments, coordinating the room, and assisting with anesthesia, while reviewing charts and maintaining documentation accuracy.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in an operating room setting, preferably ambulatory surgery center.
• Active RN license in state of employment or compact licensure.
• BCLS Certification required at employment.
• ACLS required by facility.
• PALS preferred or may be required at some facilities.
• CNOR certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee instrument and equipment set-up for the OR and anticipate surgeons' needs.
• Coordinate and oversee the room as the circulator.
• Facilitate efficient transition between surgical procedures.
• Use proper body mechanics when moving patients.
• Manage patient care and medications, including anesthesia support.
• Review charts for completeness per documentation protocols.
