Qualifications

• Current, unrestricted RN license.
• BLS and ACLS certifications.
• Minimum of two years OR nursing experience.
• Knowledge of perioperative nursing standards and infection prevention.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the circulating nurse during surgical procedures.
• Prepare operating rooms with equipment, instruments, supplies, and medications.
• Verify patient identity, site, consent, and documentation prior to surgery.
• Coordinate patient positioning, skin prep, and intraoperative safety measures.
• Maintain a sterile environment and aseptic technique.
• Monitor patient status and communicate changes to the surgical team.
• Document perioperative care in EMR.
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and clinical staff to promote efficient workflow.
• Assist with room turnover, equipment checks, and supply management.
• Participate in quality initiatives and ensure compliance with policies.
• Provide support in Pre-Op and PACU as needed.
