Job summary

Responsibilities include managing instrument setup, coordinating the circulator role, and ensuring efficient transitions between procedures, while adhering to documentation protocols and patient safety standards.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in an operating room setting (ambulatory surgery center preferred).
• Active RN license as required by state of employment or appropriate compact licensure.
• BCLS certification required at time of employment (online certification not acceptable).
• ACLS as required by facility.
• CNOR certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee instrument and equipment setup for the OR and anticipate surgeon’s needs.
• Coordinate and oversee room during a case as the circulator.
• Facilitate efficient transition between surgical procedures.
• Use proper body mechanics when moving patients to stretchers/OR tables.
• Manage patient care and medications, including anesthesia assistance.
• Review patient charts for completeness per documentation protocols.
