Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing.
• Active RN license as required by state of employment or appropriate compact licensure.
• BCLS certification required at time of employment; ACLS as required by facility.
• PALS preferred but may be required at some facilities.
• CNOR certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee instrument and equipment setup for the OR and anticipate surgeons' needs.
• Coordinate and oversee the room during a case as circulator.
• Facilitate efficient transition between procedures.
• Assist with anesthesia and manage patient care and medications.
• Review charts for completeness per documentation protocols.
