Job summary

Mt. Olympus Surgery Center in Salt Lake City, UT is hiring an Operating Room Nurse to provide circulating or scrub support, ensure safe patient care, and coordinate with surgeons and recovery teams.

As an integral member of our ambulatory surgery center, you will oversee instrument setup, monitor patient charts, and contribute to timely, high-quality outcomes. The role requires RN licensure, OR experience, and current BCLS/ACLS; PALS and CNOR are preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in an operating room setting, preferably in an ambulatory surgery center.
• Active RN license as required by state of employment or appropriate compact licensure.
• BCLS Certification required; online certification not acceptable.
• ACLS as required by facility; PALS preferred or may be required at some facilities.
• CNOR certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee instrument and equipment setup for the OR, including preference cards and anticipating surgeons' needs.
• Coordinate and oversee your room during a case as the circulator.
• Facilitate effective and efficient transition between surgical procedures.
• Use proper body mechanics when moving patients to stretchers and OR tables.
• Manage patient care and medications, including assistance with anesthesia.
• Review patient charts for completeness according to documentation protocols before and after procedures.
