Position Overview

To provide leadership and departmental support around system initiatives, strategies, and projects. The role focuses on clinical or non-clinical areas to identify trends, review and create metrics to measure success, find gaps and trends, and implement process improvements. The Strategic Operations Coordinator will also assist with patient care needs when appropriate, manage clinic flow, and perform other duties to support the division.

Qualifications

• Preferred: Associate's Degree
• License & Certification: None required
• Experience: Minimum of 2+ years in a healthcare ambulatory setting

Responsibilities

• Department Strategic Initiatives and Leadership Support:
• Develop and roll out trainings to staff within departmental guidelines
• Track and monitor trainings, identify gaps or needs
• Create strategies supporting departmental initiatives, goals, budgets, and staffing
• Implement strategic plans and ensure completion
• Maintain department goals and schedules
• Manage projects and coordinate resources or work groups
• Support daily workflows and coverage needs
• Adjust staffing as directed by leadership
• Delegate tasks and assignments
• Manage daily site operations as needed

• Department Support and Coordination:
• Coordinate daily team activities
• Plan and schedule work assignments
• Resolve problems proactively
• Investigate patient satisfaction issues and recommend solutions
• Act as Subject Matter Expert within scope of practice
• Ensure clinic supplies are ordered JIT and within budget

• Reports and Metrics:
• Create and maintain accountability metrics
• Review reports with leadership and track team success
• Monitor trends and develop action plans for negative trends
• Serve as SME in areas of expertise

• Standardized Work:
• Create and uphold standardized procedures
• Establish best practices with leadership and publish them
• Maintain departmental SOPs and practices
