Job summary

UChicago Medicine in Chicago, IL is seeking a Clinical Pharmacist in Ambulatory/Oncology Infusion Pharmacy, Registry, located in Hyde Park. You will provide safe, effective, and prompt infusion therapy and collaborate with the medical team to optimize medication therapy.

Responsibilities include dispensing and verifying orders, supervising technicians, supporting staff education, and contributing to patient-care improvements.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an ACPE accredited College of Pharmacy
• Doctor of Pharmacy or other advanced degree highly preferred
• Eligible for licensure as a pharmacist in the state of Illinois (complete licensure process within 60 days of employment).
• Completion of an ASHP accredited PGY-1 Pharmacy Residency required or 3 plus years of hospital staffing experience.

Responsibilities

• Interprets, evaluates, and dispenses drug orders in the patient’s best interest.
• Checks medication orders for allergies, interactions, and correct dosing.
• Coordinates clinical and dispensing workflow from the home infusion pharmacy.
• Supervises pharmacy technicians and ensures accurate labeling and storage.
• Participates in orientation, education, and mentoring of new staff.
• Performs other duties as requested by senior management.
