Job summary

UChicago Medicine is seeking a Clinical Pharmacist Specialist for its Specialty Pharmacy-Oncology. The role involves direct patient care, clinical interventions, and coordination of specialty medications across adult and pediatric populations.

The position supports multiple clinics, with rotation to the Hyde Park campus and remote work for the remainder. Strong clinical expertise, teaching, and precepting skills are essential for success in this role.

Qualifications

• PharmD degree or equivalent required.
• ACPE-accredited School of Pharmacy graduate.
• Completion of ASHP-accredited PGY-1 Pharmacy Residency.
• PGY-2 Residency preferred or equivalent experience.
• Licensure as a pharmacist in Illinois or eligible within 60 days of employment.
• Board Certification in area of expertise within 18 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Lead assigned patient service lines and therapeutic programs.
• Conduct in-clinic visits, follow-up monitoring, education, and vaccines.
• Coordinate care for specialty medications and ensure access.
• Deliver direct patient care and support clinical services.
• Participate in pharmacy operations and medication dispensing.
