Job summary

UChicago Medicine is seeking a Pharmacy Manager to lead the infusion/oncology sterile compounding operations at Hyde Park. The role oversees day-to-day staffing, quality, and regulatory compliance while partnering with physicians, nurses and hospital leadership to advance comprehensive pharmacy services.

The ideal candidate will bring ACPE‑accredited PharmD training, and relevant leadership experience in an academic medical center, with a focus on sterile product operations and program

Qualifications

• Graduate of an ACPE accredited School of Pharmacy.
• Preferred qualifications include an advanced degree (MS/MBA/PharmD) and ASHP residency credentials.

Responsibilities

• Oversee sterile product preparations and quality systems ensuring safe, effective patient care.
• Allocate resources to support pharmacy practice and staff scheduling in the chemotherapy/sterile compounding areas.
• Develop performance standards, evaluate staff, provide feedback and conduct yearly evaluations.
• Maintain staff training, coaching, and competency development across the pharmacy team.
• Track outcomes of chemo clinic programs for quality, clinical outcomes, and cost effectiveness; implement action plans as needed.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and hospital leadership to advance pharmacy services and patient care programs.
• Support budget planning, drug purchasing oversight, and adherence to department policies.
