Job summary

Cooper University Health Care in South Jersey is looking for a Medical Assistant to provide patient care under physicians and nurses in ambulatory settings. The role includes greeting patients, supporting staff, and ensuring timely service using AIDET principles.

You will perform administrative duties in the EMR, manage vitals and medical history, assist with rooming, tests, and vaccines, and support care coordination and patient outreach as needed.

Qualifications

• Minimum one year of recent experience in a medical facility as a medical assistant.
• EKG, vital signs, venipuncture, capillary and injection experience.
• Epic experience preferred.
• Excellent organizational, written/verbal communication and teamwork skills.
• Demonstrated performance of excellent customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and guests using AIDET and provide excellent service experience.
• Room patients and document vitals, reason for visit, meds, and history in EMR.
• Handle triage, appointments, and follow-ups across the care continuum.
• Assist with vaccines, specimen collection, and lab tests per protocol.
• Maintain regulatory standards and coordinate with providers and staff.
