Job summary

Cooper University Health Care in New Jersey is seeking a Medical Assistant for ambulatory settings. Under physician and nurse supervision, you will greet patients, support care, and ensure timely service using AIDET.

You will perform clinical tasks, maintain patient records, and coordinate care across the healthcare continuum. You will handle vitals, rooming, medication history, clinic documentation in EMR, insurance forms, order entries, and patient outreach.

Qualifications

• Minimum one year of recent experience as a medical assistant or externship in a medical office.
• EKG, vital signs, venipuncture, capillary, and injections experience.
• Epic experience preferred.
• Excellent organizational, written/verbal communication and teamwork skills.
• Demonstrated performance of excellent customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and provide service using AIDET.
• Room patients, document vitals and history in EMR.
• Schedule and coordinate follow-up appointments across the healthcare continuum.
• Administer vaccines and collect specimens as needed.
• Coordinate insurance forms, precertifications and orders.
