Job summary

Qualifications

• Minimum one year of recent experience working in a medical facility as a medical assistant and/or externship completed in a medical office.
• EKG, vital signs, venipuncture, capillary and injection experience.
• Epic experience preferred.
• Excellent organizational, written/verbal communication and teamwork skills.
• Current BLS/CPR certification through the American Heart Association.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and guests and provide excellent service experience.
• Perform medical assistant duties under supervision of physicians, providers and/or RNs in ambulatory settings.
• Document vitals, reason for visit, medication history and other data in the EMR. Manage in-baskets, MyChart messages and orders.
• Assist with rooming, patient outreach, and scheduling across the healthcare continuum.
• Administer vaccines and handle specimens per established protocols; support lab and testing workflows.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary team and ensure regulatory standards are upheld.
