Job summary

Grider Support Services, LLC is seeking a highly organized Patient Services Representative (Receptionist) to be the first point of contact for patients at our Buffalo ambulatory team. You will greet patients, verify demographics, check insurance, collect co-pays, answer calls, and schedule appointments with emphasis on accuracy and confidentiality.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalency required.
• 1–2 years’ experience with front desk operations, patient scheduling, phone handling, and customer service preferred.
• Knowledge of EMR and medical office software.
• Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks.
• Excellent customer service and communication abilities.

Responsibilities

• Greets and checks in patients upon arrival; verify demographics, insurance eligibility, collect and process payments and co-pays.
• Answers and direct phone calls; triage urgent matters with nurse/provider as needed.
• Schedule patient appointments and manage calendar; create, reschedule, and cancel as needed.
• Verify patient insurance information and process authorizations.
• Assist with patient registration and data entry; maintain accurate EMR records.
• Ensure patient confidentiality per HIPAA; participate in meetings and staff development.
• Provide exceptional customer service to patients, vendors, and healthcare team members.
